I am the drummer for the Nadeau Family Band. I started playing the drums when I was 5 years old. My first set of drums were pots and pans and cardboard boxes. Then my dad and mom bought my first real drum which was a sparkle blue snare drum, I don't rememeber the make. Then a few years later I got my first set of drums. They were a 4 piece sparkle gold set of Norma's that was purchased from Ronald Leclair who lived in Keegan Maine for $175.00 with two cymbals and high hats. I played on these for several years. If I can remember correctly my next set was a 5 piece charcoal gray swirl colored set, I don't remember what kind they were. Then in my sophmore year of high school I got my first set of high end drums. Ludwig's, they were 6 or 7 ply maple with a 14 by 5.5 stainless steel snare, they were a five piece set which were oyster blue in color. During our busy years of playing out they suffered many cracks from in and out of the cold weather without cases. I ended up sending them to Ludwig and they sent me new shells, I changed the color to a maroon wine color. I still have these today and are currently being played by my son's Taylor and Evan. I currently play a polished black 7 piece set of Mapex M series purchased in 2004. I have all zildjian cymbals with one wuhan 12 inch china. Most of my zildjians are over 25 years old. My hats are around 30 years old, they sound great the older they are the better they sound. I am in the process of purchasing a double bass pedal and trying my luck of playing with a double bass. It is not going to be easy but I will give it my best shot.
