Aleks Patz, born in Stockholm1985 started his musical career at an early age of 5 where he started to play piano and saxophone and gained musical understanding of musical theories and secrets by playing Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Blues, Funk, Soul, Ambient, Folklore etc.
During the late year of 2006 and early beginning of 2007 he started producing electronic music along with his cousin, Alex Caytas, which is the other half of the upcoming duo ”Alex Caytas & Aleks Patz” which so far has resulted in a remix for the respected producer Robert M at ”Point Records” (A subdivision of Music Mail Distribution) and a own track called ”Sources” who won Pete Tong’s Bedroom Bedlam on Fasttrax in late february 2008.
The winning track ”Sources” was signed by ”Point Records” and will be released in the end of August with massive remixes.
Aleks Patz is currently working on a few more remixes together with his gangsta cousin Alex Caytas, release dates will be announced very soon.
Aleks Patz is not only a upcoming producer but also a DJ. His first steps as a DJ occured already in 2003 where he was fascinated of different DJ’s and producers such as:
Daft Punk, Olav Basoski, Cerrone, Roger Sanchez, Eric Morillo, Sven Väth, Adam Beyer, Marco Bailey and many others. This fascination turned in to practice and in late 2003 Aleks Patz played at his first gig with great success.
Aleks Patz combines various types of music styles during his plays, genres such as: acid, progressive, deep, miminal, tech-house is combined into a raw mix. Aleks Patz is known for creating a fantastic atmosphere along with his active stage performance. This active stage performance combined with his technical skills made him become one of the new, hot and upcoming DJ’s among the Swedish DJ society. The list of venues is long and doesn’t only include gigs at the best Swedish clubs (Hells Kitchen, Solidaritet, Grodan Cocktail Club, Café Opera, Palace) but also include gigs made abroad in countries like Spain, Poland and Greece.
He also had the honour to play among great DJ’s and producers such as his personal House Icon - Olav Basoski, Laidback Luke, Martin Huergo, Pete Gooding, Jason Bye, Robert M among others.
In April, Aleks Patz will be performing at the biggest indoor event in Scandinavia called ”Sphere The Experience” among DJ’s like Robbie Rivera, Wally Lopez, Laidback Luke, Dave Spoon, John Dahlbäck, DONS, Eddie Thoneick among others.
Meanwhile, Aleks Patz is rocking his crowd at his residency in his own club called ”Club Minimal” which so far is nothing else than a huge success.
