A Cardiff Glam band in the American 80's mould, formed during March of 1988. Drummer Jamie Kayne was actually a former TIGERTAILZ member with the rest of the band comprising vocalist J.J.Cruise, guitarist Mike Dollz, bassist Marc Kelly. The group issued a three track demo comprising 'Dollhouse', 'Mad, Bad And Dangerous To Know' and 'Bullet With Your Name On'.
By 1991 Kayne was out and in came drummer Robin Guy. It was after this point that the band recorded a live video and enjoyed a support slot at the Marquee Club in London as the highlight of a relatively short career. RAG DOLLS would also be featured on MTV UK 'Headbangers Ball' in 1991. Guy later came to the fore as a member of RACHEL STAMP and the BRUCE DICKINSON band. Toward the band's latter months Mike Dollz left and was replaced briefly by ex-CITY KIDDS man Julian Gardner...
So, here we are 15 years later !... I wonder where the Rag Dolls are and if they would ever reform for a one off gig??.... watch this space.
