The ACUTE born in January 2006 by the draft of Diego Trasforini who, after the composition of the first songs ,wich will become common musical ground, Keep On, Frozen, The Step, Psycotelik......finds project confirmed by Federico Bonazza.After that they passing to all arrangement of songs already written and the drawing of new works; that have a particular characteristic use of the instruments present only on occurrence, and the need for certain sounds suggested by texts and dissonant combinations, so without dive only in experimental music, but remaining faithful to form of 'Song'.To confirm everythingh explained is a parallel project that sees the same songs in minimal version: synths, guitar and voice. In February 2008 ACUTE completes his first promo-disc recorded entirely to ReverSenSe LAB: study hall and evidence of the band. Some songs are sound-mixed in collaboration with 'AnnXia' Interzone Inc..
Gli ACUTE nascono nel gennaio del 2006 dal progetto di Diego Trasforini che dopo la composizione dei primi brani, che diventranno poi i caposaldi del gruppo, Keep On, Frozen, The Step, Psycotelik....... trova conferma del lavoro con l'aggiunta di Federico Bonazza, passando quindi all' arrangiamento dei brani già scritti ed alla stesura di nuovi lavori, che hanno come caratteristica un particolare uso degli strumenti,presenti solo all'occorenza e per l'esigenza di determinate sonorità suggerite dai testi e dai dissonanti accostamenti degli accordi senza immergersi però solo nello sperimentale ma restando fedeli alla forma canzone(a confermarlo è il progetto acustico che vede i medesimi brani riarrangiati in versione minimale, pianoforte, chitarra e voce).
Il 2008 vede il completamento del promo registrato interamente al ReverSenSe LAB (studio e sala prove della band) e mixato da AnnXia degli Interzone Inc.
Il 25-04-2007 il gruppo debutta sul palco del Circolo Bolognesi di Ferrara dove riscontra un ottimo risultato critico, guadagnandosi poi, dopo poco il primo passaggio in radio con "New EmotionS"!!!
Successivamente ospiti a Radio Sound ed impegnati in un breve tour di presentazione EP durante il quale ottengono la prima recensione(vedi sotto) firmata Stefano Bon!

Ferrara, città di origine dei musicisti di cui andremo a trattare, è un luogo particolare, un misto piuttosto ambiguo (ma non in senso negativo) tra sensazione di mistero ed esuberanza padana. Ricordiamola come corte importante e città d’arte, ma soprattutto, più recentemente, come luogo che ha dato i natali a Michelangelo Antonioni. Il riferimento al padre del cosiddetto “neorealismo interiore†non è casuale, perché dai suoni di questi artisti arriva lo straniamento tra sentimento e paesaggio che nelle pellicole del maestro ferrarese è presente spesso.
Gli Acute in modo particolare, con i loro suoni sperimentali ricchi di un’elettronica non meccanicista e ripetitiva abbinata alle melodie degli strumenti tradizionali ed ad una ritmica riflessiva, si propongono come band in grado di trasmettere forti sensazioni. Il primo riferimento va ai Radiohead di “Kid A†e “Amnesiacâ€, ma nel loro sound ci sono tracce di gruppi psichedelici degli anni 80/90 quali Spaceman 3 ed i consanguinei Spiritualized.
Suonano straordinariamente bene, soprattutto dal vivo ed è sorprendente, visto che si sono formati nel 2006 ed il battesimo sul palco l’han ricevuto solo nell’aprile di quest’anno.
Ma il 2008 porta altre nuovi successi, infatti gli ACUTE vengono recensita dalla rivista californiana MUSEC con il secondo posto nella loro classifica web!

It is a unique thing for a band to capture you, take control of your senses, and change the way you feel when you listen to them. It may not be a rare thing, because there is such variety in music these days, but every times it happens it is a unique and uplifting experience. Acute makes music with that kind of power.?   By the time I had reached their third song I had turned off the lights, opened the blinds to the night, and was lying motionless on my bed taking occasional sips from my Vitamin Water. That's what it will do to you. The songs are a sort blend between Radiohead and Autolux, but infused with more bass, and lower tones. At some points you will actually think you hear Thom Yorke sharply hitting those high notes.?   The only negatives to mention were of the sort that would be eliminated in a proper recording studio. The musicians were rarely off tempo with each other. The mixing wan't bad but you might be overwhelmed by certain tones.?   Unfortunately for me and all other Americans, the band is Italian, and the only english on their page is in the form of track titles and the band's name. That leaves us with no way to get a hold of their music. It's okay though, with their sound I'm sure this vibrophone totting band will make it onto our scene soon enough.?
