About Me

I consider myself a simple, country girl. I am loyal and faithful to those I love dearly. I married my high school sweetheart 18 years ago and we are still very much in love by the Grace of God! We have a daughter that I have homeschooled since day one. Family and country is of utmost importance to me, as is my faith in Jesus Christ.

"I have just finished reading "Matters of the Heart" and all I can say is what a WONDERFUL BOOK! Vicki has a way with her writing to bring you, the reader right in with her characters. I could NOT put this book down! When I did I would pick it back up and start reading again wondering what was going to happen next. Julie and Luke faced alot of obstacles in both their lives, but somehow they made it work. Through love, understanding and caring they both found what really makes a relationship work. I personally, had the experiences that Julie faced and it was not easy, but somehow I made it through. My sincerest congats to Vicki, you are an incredible writer and I can hardly wait to read the rest of your books" Annmarie, NY
"I enjoyed the story of Luke & Julie. I couldn't put the book down.I love how the author pulls you in. When a book makes you worried that something was going to happen that you had to look at the end to make sure nothing bad happened or at least that both made it. Yes, I had to look, that makes it a good book for me. Matters of the Heart was my first Vicki Williamson book but not my last. I just ordered my second." Mary B., Texas
"I am a huge fan of Vicki Williamson's. I have read all five of her books and it is so difficult to choose a favorite. Mrs. Williamson is a rare writer that put me right into the lives of her characters. When I read any of her books, I never feel like I'm reading 'just' another book, she has placed me right into the story. The detail and dialoge is so real that I find myself wondering what the characters are doing even weeks after finishing the book. It's so amazing how Mrs. Williamson can write about characters that you can relate to and may even know from school or work. They are normal people trying to cope with normal and REAL issues. I'm so very proud that there are a couple authors out there that I am happy to share the books I read with my teenage daughter. The messages in her stories are lessons that I have tried to share with my daughter, but usually fall short. Mrs. Williamson has managed to pass on the lessons that I have been unable to explain in a way that my teenager can understand and appreciate. I'm thrilled to say that my daughter has shared Mrs. Williamson's books with many of her friends. Not one of them has ever had anything but great things to say about the books and I think that is terrific! Please keep writing so we can keep reading and sharing your wonderful works of art. I thank God for authors like you." Robin V. insurance auditor, Illinois

My Interests

I am an avid Atlanta Braves fan! I was born to love baseball! I love music. I absolutely cannot live without my music. I love my boots..all kinds of boots, but if I had to choose my cowgirl boots are my favorite. I am also into fitness. I jog, do strength training, kick boxing, and many workout dvd's. I also enjoying cooking and baking for my family. I love to read fiction but most importantly I also write Christian fiction. I've had 5 books published thus far.

I'd like to meet:

Mark Hall of Casting Crowns, Mark Miller of Sawyer Brown, TobyMac, Toby Keith, John Smoltz, Franklin Graham, Sean Hannity, Charlie Daniels, President and Mrs Bush, and Reba McEntire.

Music:

I have an eclectic taste in music but basically I am a huge fan of all types of Christian music: contemporary, worship, rock, hard rock, southern gospel. I also love Christian country.

Movies:

My favorite movies are Legally Blond, Just Like Heaven, Sweet Home Alabama, 13 Going on 30, Fever Pitch, A Walk to Remember, Fantastic Four, Cellular, Broken Bridges and most of all Facing the Giants. My favorite movies to watch with my husband and daughter are Sky High, Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Looney Tunes: Back in Action.

Television:

I don't watch a lot of television. Mainly because most of it is just garbage. But I do like to watch "Chuck", "Til Death", the Fox News Channel, Gospel Music Channel, and TVU. Of course, during baseball season I watch the Atlanta Braves whenever I can! I also like to catch the UGA football games on TV though they don't seem to televise them as much as they have in the past.

Books:

I love to read. I am a voracious reader. I enjoy reading Christian fiction or non-fiction. But I also have a weakness for Nicholas Sparks where mainstream fiction is concerned. I also enjoy mainstream non-fiction such as anything medically related or techie related. (Yeah, I know- I'm kind of a geek. It happens.) But most of all I love to read the Holy Bible.

Heroes:

All men and women in the great American Armed Forces!

My husband, Shane, is my hero. He is such a hard working man, who does whatever it takes to provide for our family. He has seen me through so much more in the past 17 years than most spouses do in an entire lifetime. He really is a great guy who is nothing short of the most gorgeous man on the face of this earth.
My GREATEST hero is Jesus Christ!!! He loves me even when I'm not lovable. He listens to me even when I am rambling. He is always there for me and has helped me through so many major crises in my life. And, most importantly, He has made a way for me to Heaven by shedding His blood for me.

The dreaded phone call

Well, yesterday I got the phone call I have been dreading since last fall. I think I must've sat at my desk in shock for at least 5 minutes, which truly felt like an eternity. Once the shock wore off,...
