DJ 151

A Long Island, New York native, 151’s love for music began early with performing and entertaining his family and friends. His first interest in music was sparked by his father and brothers. 151 also gained interest in djing like his brother(DJ IMPACT Of Long Island) and his brothers long time friend (DJ SMOOTH DENALI). He studied Music Education from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. Prior to entering university, 151 honed his music skills by playing Trumpet at Brentwood High School. During his studies at the Crane School Of Music, 151 caught the eye of Cuban Legend and Grammy Award Winning Trumpet virtuoso Arturo Sandoval. He later received additional mentorship as a deejay with Old School favorite Biz Markie(hip hop legend) and DJ Diamond(formally of Hip-hop duo EPMD,prince tour dj,making of the band pt 2 dj, and beyonce’s tour dj)and DJ Belal.All Of these dj’s he continues to work with today. Through word of mouth and professional recommendations, 151 has worked at nightclubs such as 2686,2II’s(in manhatten),Bridgeview Yacht Club,Salsa Rhumba,Krystales, and club intrigue. These recommendations have also led 151 to be the exclusive Deejay for Donald Trump’s Holiday Party at the NBC Studios Rainbow Room(2003 - 2005). His abilities have been featured as an opening act for such noted celebrities as The Sugar Hill Gang, Doug E. Fresh, Brenda K. Starr,dj Skribble @ the 2004 republican national convention after party and recently the 50 cent tour at jones beach theater(AUGUST 2005),miss FHM 2006(Diana Chiafair)celebration at hawuan tropics NYC, and the Golden gloves Boxing event (first time in 8 years in Long Island,Brentwood)jan. 2006. Professional honors and write-ups include www.Rapmullet.com,www.Daundagroundspot.com.,the foundation magazine,and thick magazine.151 has numerous mixtapes that are circulating in the NYC area, but have reached as far as Japan and has donated numerous cds to the troops over in iraq.
