Founded in 2005, OUT-BREAK has become the leading breakbeat night in Portsmouth attracting DJ's and clubbers from all over the south of England. As co-promoter and DJ I am very much hands-on in all aspects in the planning, promoting and running of the nights with the other promoter DJ Ignition under the Illusions Promotions group.As a Breakbeat DJ whose sets feature the heavier, tearout side of breaks with uber phat basslines, huge drops and broken beats or the skanking, dubwise ragga cuts perfect for any smoking dancefloor. Promo's roots can be traced back through good times in House to Hardcore to Acid and beyond to Hip-Hop, Breakin', Electro and into Rock and Psychadelia which all form the foundations to his musical background. Aswell as being Out-Break resident, has been a regular guest on the Platinum Breaks show on Breaks FM and alongside Ignition, has appeared at Influenza, F(r)action, Something's Missing, Bassnova, Error, Tribal Medicine and Dusted plus the very entertaining Overload on the Spitbank Fort in the retro room which has been hosted by Out-Break for two years and now has a new monthly residency in the INFECTIOUS BREAKS room at the awseome House night CARTEL*OUT-BREAK is currently involved with INFECTIOUS BREAKS the NuSkool Alliance between three Portsmouth Breakbeat promoters. This collaboration of members from Dusted/Out-Break/Error will see INFECTIOUS hosting the underground Theme nightclub every second Saturday.
