I always have a hard time writing about myself compared to writing about other people. Most of the time, I am quite unsure of what I really am that I fail to really pinpoint what to tell people about me. But to give this thing a shot, I would say I tend to fool people with my "fun" exterior. Most of my friends when they write stuff about me, they'd say things like "always smiling" or "very friendly". I have to admit I get surprised when I read those things because I highly doubt I'm Ms. Congeniality. But not to discredit them, I do try to make people feel less threatened when they're with me. Half the time, I am the butt of jokes or the one giving a few smarty-pants comments that make people go, "Aaaw Monica, good one!". I can be very friendly and yet at the same time, not be as open as others can be. Most of the time, I take a real long time to open up to people. I guess that's because I'm used to just being the person others turn to when they need a shoulder to cry on or someone to listen. I enjoy simple things in life. I don't need all that glammed up stuff people attribute to success or wealth. A good book or a great movie, white cheddar cheese popcorn and I'm set. It doesn't take much to make me smile. I do seem to have quite a moody streak and I do tend to just keep all my feelings to myself. But other than that, I think I'm pretty much a fairly decent person. Look behind the Ms. Congeniality act and you'd see I'm just this plain jane looking for my place in this crazy, mad world we all live in.
