Let's see, where to begin... My DJ name is V-ROD, but my name is Vince Rodriguez and I am 34 years of age, Hispanic and live in Chicago. My interests include Real Estate, and music. Because I love music so much, I became a DJ and have been one since 1988. I learned how to DJ while in grammar school which is called Glenwood School for Boys in Glenwood Illinois (a military school). During the 80’s, in my young life, I was influenced by a radio station called and famously known as 102.7 FM WBMX and also through a DJ known as Sheldon "Snake" Simpson who was my platoon leader at the time. Throughout the years, other DJ's have influenced my styles of music, for instance, DJ's like Farley "Funkin" Keith AKA Farley "Jackmaster Funk", Mickey 'mixin' Oliver, Ralphie the Razz Rosario, Mike "Hit-man" Wilson, Frankie "Hollywood" Rodriguez, Scott 'Smokin' Sills, Armando, Lil’ Louis, Bad Boy Bill, Frankie "Knuckles", Lloyd "Devestating Jackmaster", Pink House, Pharris Thomas, Pablo "PunkOut" Gonzales, Victor Lua, Mario "Smokin" Diaz, Miguel Rodriguez and others whom I can't remember at this moment. All of these DJ's were made famous through radio play. By various stations like 102.7 FM WBMX, 107.5 WGCI, 90.5 FM WCYC, 89.3 WKKC.With the help of some other kids that had the same interests as I did at that time, I practiced my craft. Since then, I have been a DJ playing at parties, sock hops in high school and many, many house parties in the neighborhoods in the south side of Chicago! Throughout the years, I played music, which included but were not limited to... Alternative, Industrial music, Disco, Classic High Energy (Italo), House, Acid House, techno, rave and booty style house. Now I play Underground, soulful house, plus disco. I have gone through many stages in my life and have matured since because of it.Because of my little adventures that life has given me, I can now say that I have helped the house/dance music scene blossom today! I am not, by no means responsible for what has become of house music today, but I am confident that I had something to do with it. All I can say is, I will continue to contribute to this party society as we know it without fail!Peace V-ROD
