Cooperate has parted ways with vocalist Tijl De Bock. Both personal and musical reasons leaded to this regrettable decision. However it didn't work out together, we wish Tijl the best of luck with his other two bands and whatever project he steps into in the future.
So at this moment we are very looking for a new stageanimal with charisma, great voice and willing to give a 100% of him/herself. If you're interested to join the ranks, don't hestitate to contact us and we would be happy to invite you for a trial.
Candidates may send their profile to [email protected] and we'll get in touch as soon as possible! You can also call at 0474/91.48.00
Cooperate rehearses every sunday afternoon/evening @ Jh Bogaard (Geel). If you can't make it that day, just let us know and we arrange another time. Cheers and thanks in advance!!
Cooperate arose in the autumn of 1997 from two local HC/metalbands from the Mol(BE) area, initially being a side-project among friends but quickly turning into a band in the true sense of the word. Playing their straightforward hardcore at numerous places all over the country, Cooperate soon earned a solid live reputation in the scene and shared the stage with respectable bands such as Madball, Deviate, Length Of Time, Born From Pain, Hard Resistance, Backfire..!, etc...
Between times, two demos were recorded, some line-up changes presented themselves and through the years, both sound and music matured. By 2004 the band felt ready to take the whole thing to a higher level and just when the search for connections and cooperation in the music industry was about to commence, fate struck. Deef..'s vocal cords couldn..'t take any more pressure, and by medical advise he had to quit.
A time of consideration was taken, but most members were convinced to bring the band back on stage. A single poster-and flyercampaign at the Graspop Metal Meeting 2004 got them in contact with numerous candidates, and by the end of the year, a new vocalist was found in Tijl (one of two nutcases fronting the Antwerp-based fungrind band K4B). At given time, ex-Hard Resistance guitarplayer Kris reinforced the troops as the new bassplayer, and Deef picked up his old duty as guitarplayer. Together with long-time members Dennis (guitar) and Rob (drums) they started to work on new material.
Exactly one year later, Cooperate recorded this 4-track promotional cd called "Vision The End" at the High Lake Hill studio, proving the band is back in business. Intense gigging, label searching and promotion are high priorities for every member of this ambitious band whose music, over the years, evolved from basic old-school hardcore to the .."B-tuned metalminded hardcore.." of today. Basically, this description stands for an impulsive mix of raging old-school HC, thrash/deathmetal and pounding metalcore, with heavy, low-pitched guitars and lots of blazing double bassdrums. Often up-tempo, always aggressive and guaranteed emo-free, Cooperate stands out by injecting a sorely needed old-school vibe into today..'s metalcore scene.
