The interest here is international understanding through Godzilla, and other famous japanese monsters. As you know, when Godzilla came out in 1954, he was set to be an example of the horror that took place when Hiroshima and Nagasaki were attacked with the atomic bomb. What would it be like if something similar was to happen in Tokyo? Although completely fictional, his attack on Japan was far too real, and Godzilla was taken seriously on a worldwide political level, posing a threat to the new age in nuclear power. For the next thirty years, his movies were taken to a lighter degree, playing more of a savior rather than a trouble maker. However, in 1984, he made his comeback as a nuclear threat, and things remained that way for him for another ten years. Unfortunately, in his new line of movies since 2000, the creators have returned him to the good guy, and I think a lot of fans would love to see him in a full blown three hour movie, once again, reflecting the true horror of what Godzilla can really do. The Monster War Series provides realistic scenarios for real people in a new age of terror, horror, and war. Based in a country inhabited by an uncontrolled society supported by greed, power, and corruption, it is a time where political rivalries must be put aside, and to better the country to fight, and possibly win the monster war, unity is the only way out...

Comet, The Ice Monster is the first release of MWS, which is slated for 1/1/08!!! Originally, the notes for this story were created back in 1996, but for some odd reason, I put the story on the back burner because there were other stories I had in mind to finish before it. The ideas I had were not meeting up with the current storyline of the series at the time, and therefore, the story was off in its own world. Nothing was concrete, and nothing was official. In 2004, eight years later, I pulled the notes out of the MWS vault, and had this crazy idea of simply making it the very first story to kick off the series. Godzilla was not in the story, and there was no hard punch to impact the series. However, it would make a great start for future ideas to build upon to, eventually, make the series more exciting. So, at least it had that going for it. Throughout 2007, I began turning the wheels into motion for the series to be resurrected, and be released to the rest of the world. Along with it, came Comet, The Ice Monster to be slated as the first story to start the series. And now that I think about it, the story could not have been placed in a better spot! It shows how the major characters come to be, and what they were before they became a major part of the series. It's simply, the beginning! After ten months of brain storming, the story is now complete, and will be released on 1/1/08. Be on the lookout! Comet, The Ice Monster is coming for you!!!
