Well, I finally updated my profile, its been a while.

My name is Mike Lamb A.K.A. The Expo. Lately I have been studying the enlightenment and the romantic era during the 1800s. The Enlightenment was an era where science, logic and reasoning ruled modern thought. At the same time, and shortly after, the Romantic era was the are where emotion, sensuality and nature was focus. These two era's over lapped most of the time, just different aspects of the culture. For example visual art may have been romantic whereas literature may have been influenced by the enlightenment at the same time. ANYWAY, I see myself as embracing aspects of both ideas. I believe that truth can be found both through human reasoning and by sensual experience. That is why i choose to absorb as much non-main stream culture as possible. (it seems that the mainstream either abuses or abandons logic and emotion) I love the sensible and sensual. These beliefs have shaped who I am... but who am I?

First and foremost, I am a Christian. It's a faith thing.
Religion aside, I am a Dj. I have been so for 3 years now, and still consider myself a beginner (if there is anyone out there willing to take on an apprentice or an intern this summer, let me know!) Secondly, I am what is called a Traceur. This is someone who embraces parkour. Parkour is the art of movement, a new sport that aims to you pass any obstacle, to go from a point A towards a point B, apprehending the environment which surrounds us using only the human body. To be able to face all the obstacles which are presented whether they are in natural environment or in various structures. it is the search for a movement combining fluidity and control as well as the self- knowledge and challenge of your own fears because the obstacles are not all the times the things we imagine. People who practice this sport are called Traceurs. Training is physical but also reflects a moral philosophy with its own values. It is more than a sport, it's an art, an everyday philosophy.

Third, I love the study of Philosophy. Particularly, Epistomology and metaphysics. Ethics and logic are cool too, but not my favorites. If i got into this subjest this about me section would be more epic than it already is.

Finally, my life isn't all serious and stuff. I also can enjoy parties and chilling like the rest of my peers. I love just hanging out for no reason with no purpose and just letting time slip by. I would say that I am pretty easy to get along with, and i love conversation. (a true lost art) Raving is fun too, time to go crazy and experience life. Props to subculture
