About Me

Hey, I'm Josh and I am 26 years old. I am blessed to say that I am married to the single most awesome, sexy and beautiful woman that God has ever created and ever will! My wife's name is Bobbi and I love her more than words could ever begin to describe and she thinks that I'm ok too! Heehee, I made a funny!!! Well, anyways, let me see here... I am a man of Christian faith and I praise God and thank him for all that I've been blessed with. I am an avid fan of music, I love everything from classic rock to country, alternative rock to rap(well, some rap anyways.. mostly the old school gangsta shit!). I play the guitar, bass and a little on the keyboard and I write my own music, which has become an awesome hobby and past time for me. I also play guitar in a Christian band, well not so much anymore.. but hopefully we'll start playing together again real soon. Other than that, I work for Marathon Oil in Telecommunications on a PBX(private broadcast x-change) phone system as well as with cellular phones and paging devices. I am truly blessed to be able to say that I really enjoy what I do for a living. Marathon Oil is the most warm and accepting place that I have ever had the privilege of working in; everyone there is so awesome and it is truly a joy for me to work in such a wonderful place. Umm, I guess that's all for now.. oh wait, did I mention that I love sports as well... especially football, basketball, boxing and baseball. GO ASTROS, ROCKETS and of course, GO PATRIOTS!!!!Well, it's official.. I am now a proud daddy to the absolute most precious baby boy in the world! Michael Wayne Oliver was born on July 8th at 12:49pm. He wieghed in at 7 lbs, 12.8 oz's and 20 & 1/2" long and he is gorgious(sp?)!!! He was in and out of the hospital this week fighting jaundice but he was finally released this morning for good and we're back at home now! I've posted some pics of him for those who are interested to check out!

I like: Alice in Chains, Jerry Cantrell, Jimi Hendrix, Freddie Everett, Soundgarden, Cold, Chevelle, Seether, Velvet Revolver, Audio Slave, Trapt, Jimmy Eat World, The Offspring, AND A F-LOAD OF OTHER BANDS!

Movies:

Hell i don't know, I'm not much of a movie person! Except for Hustle & Flow, I just saw it in a pre screnning and I've just got one thing to say: "WHOOP that TRICK!!"

Television:

Not much of a TV kind of guy, unless there is a good episode of Law & Order or CSI on, or if the Astros, Rockets or Patriots are playing!

Books:

I don't read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Oh except for the Bible...it's the best book so none other compare)

Heroes:

I have a lot of heroes for a lot of reasons:Jesus Christ - he sacrificed his own life for the sake of others, so we might become born again and come unto the knowledge of the truth. How amazing is that!!!Jimi Hendrix - guitar legend and music extrordinare!(sp?)Barry Sanders - arguably the greatest running back to ever play the game of football, was described on the field as a human pinball machine... bouncing off of would be tacklers on his way to the end zone!Freddie Everett - local, living guitar and musical legend! Was injured a while back in an accident in which he fell offstage and injured his neck, paralyzing both arms, what a tragedy... He may not be able to play the guitar anymore(for now) but my wife and I went and saw him the other night and he is still ROCKIN!!! Freddie, we'll be praying for a full recovery for you!
