My apartment is infested with koala bears. It's the cutest infestation ever. Way better than cockroaches. When I turn on the light, a bunch of koala bears scatter, but I don't want them too. I'm like, "Hey... Hold on fellows... Let me hold one of you, and feed you a leaf." Koala bears are so cute, why do they have to be so far away from me. We need to ship a few over, so I can hold one, and pat it on its head.

Hacky sack circle unites WSU students
By Tom Morelli
Gullen Mall serves as a special place for the student body, providing students with places to eat, sleep, study, work out and socialize.
The mall is also home to Wayne States own hacky sack circle.
Referred to as the circle by its members, the group gathers in between classes to kick a measly bean-bag around.
But the focus of the circle isnt primarily about how to keep the hacky sack off the ground - its the fun-filled and sometimes humorous conversations that arise from being around each other.
The group is willing to talk about whatever crosses their mind, as member Katie Casebolt explains.
I believe there isnt one topic we havent touched in that circle; it goes all the way from bubble-eyed goldfish to new people, friends and the Simpsons, said Casebolt, a junior majoring in fine arts.
Outsiders are quick to label the circle a clique, but the group has no leader, thus emphasizing the true ideology of a circle.
Gary Bellia insists that its not like other organizations on campus.
We have members of all shapes, sizes, colors, beliefs, etc., said Bellia, a junior majoring in psychology. [Its] probably one of the most diverse social groups at Wayne.
The circle has been at Wayne State for many years - while its members come and go, there always seems to be someone around ready to hack and socialize.
Because of the diversity, conversations can often lead to debates within the circle, but it never results in any physical harm.
Members said that some debates can go on for days, as was the case with the last presidential election.
While most were voting for Sen. John Kerry, there were some supporters of President Bush, and even a select few who chose third-party candidates.
Justin Stewart said that differing opinions are always welcome in the circle, as long as your personal preferences are presented in good taste.
Entertainment never seems to run dry in the circle, as member Jace Nichols said there have been plenty of funny incidents, but one in particular sticks out in his mind.
A certain member, who should remain nameless, saw a street maintenance guy driving a vehicle, said Nichols, a junior majoring in nursing. He then started yelling zamboni over and over at the top of his lungs to the guy. Everybody was cracking up.
Despite the winter months preventing an actual hack circle from forming, members still associate with one another, whether its at a party or hanging out inside the student center.
For Casebolt, joining the circle has provided her with a close-knit group of friends, which has enhanced her college experience.
I came in as a freak from high school, to a college kid who loved school, she said. I was accepted and that gave me my strength to be who I am today.
If theres anything that the circle stresses the most, its that anybody is welcome to join, even if youre new around campus or have no experience playing hacky sack.
Just be sure to look for the bean-bag, as Bellia invites students to see what the circle is all about.
Seriously, there's no required skill level - just hop on in, kick it around, play by the very few rules and have fun, he said.
