About Me

The story of dilapitated states can best be sumed up as a project, i (chaz) created to excrete demos of new songs for the bands i am in (such as the void and tombstone stares). It started as a learning tool to basically give skeletal forms to my jelly fish thoughts, but it became more than that. A spin off of my other solo projects such as the chad parker experiment and the doldrums and such, the states gave life to songs that also did not fit to the bands i was in and they became just as important to me. My obessiveness with low-fi recordings and one take sessions molded the new songs into new forms, unbearable to many but to me they are good as gold. Friends and family are continually exposed to the dilapitated states, many have built up a resistance and see the project as no more than my daily vomit, but i feel it has a very meaningful purpose, one than will reveal itself when the time is true... So far i have made two demos under the name, but i am constantly(as per usual) working on new recordings and feel progress is being made. I will continue to play with my bands (the void, and tombstone stares) but i am hoping to play material from all three projects live as a acoustic solo project under the name of "terminal influence" in the spring... I will try and up date the information as frequently as possible...cheers ..

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: yer lookin at it bub
Band Members: All noise, songs and recordings by chad(chaz) parker
Influences: Well as the name suggests mostly dark and strange music (a few of my fave bands: queens of the stone age, the melvins, elevator, the wipers, nirvana, the pistols, the white stripes, purple knight, pink floyd, black sabbath...)
Sounds Like: I have always been told my music is very stoner rock influenced, but i tend not to round it up so easily, i think of it more of it trapped between punk rock and heavy metal with fussions of many other styles such as folk, electronic experimental and noise.
Record Label: just coma pop records fer now
Type of Label: None
