Broadcast Studio

Located in Adelaide's CBD, Broadcast Studio is a partnership between Evan James and Mick Wordley's Mixmasters Productions, combining the best of new and vintage analog with the latest digital technology in a large and inspiring recording space. The studio is based around a fully restored Neve 8108 console, 16 and 24 track MCI 2 inch tape machines, a 32 i/o Protools HD2 Accel system and a long list of vintage and modern outboard gear and microphones.We offer a flexible approach to making records ranging from basic tracking right through to recording, mixing and mastering complete projects. Our ability to track to tape and transfer quickly and simply to any digital format is ideal for engineer / producers who primary overdub / edit / mix “in the box” but need a large studio for basic tracking.As well as having a number of experienced engineer / producers we also encourage independent engineers and studio savvy musicians to utilise our facilities for all or part of their projects and can supply assistants as required whether that be for the whole session or just a few hours to get setup and comfortable with the studio.Our central city location is close to shops, dozens of restaurants, the central market and with plenty of cheap accommodation close by the studio is a viable option for interstate bands looking for an out of town option for recording.We also offer an extensive Studio Hire service including complete location / live recording rigs based around the RADAR recorder.
