No war movies; I have been there and have holes and or missing internal body stuff with little shiny medals to show off to make it alright. The only glory in war is what hollyweird portrays; the rest of the horror remains within the victims of war and their veterans. I am very proud of our military, but the men and women who serve are regarded as those without the talents to be become a part of our market economy as successful employees after their military service. The men and women's sacrifice for our freedom can not be measured. The selfless acts performed on a daily basis by our brave men and women is hallmarked with gratification by the service member with infrequent laudatory praises received by their own leadership, peers and subordinates and scorn by those of privilege too good to soil their hands regardless of their station in life. The spoiled small minority that demonstrates against our military do not represent our citizens, only their cohorts thank God. Only if the service veteran's selfless acts were not received with contempt from our population that they protect and admonishment from our government by the lack of compensation by the very government our men and women serve would truly make their sacrifice worth the heavy burden of pain that remains with the veteran for life. Politics is war without bloodshed and war is politics with bloodshed and only the victims and veterans suffer!?

Today, I woke up happy and gald to be alive, enjoying the simple pleasures found every morning I enjoy so much.Suddendly, I realized my day is becoming over powered with emotions as the mother to their father's children of 10 and 14 years old.My children are asleep, enjoying their summer vacation, as I am sipping my morning coffee, planning todays activities and menu as a very happy mother should.Oh, I am, the "Other Mother" of the father's children.I am thinking about the father of my children and I begun to cry of slow tears as they bubble over my eyes, holding back the endess flow of tears soon will pour down my face.Thank you, the father of our children, for your lovely gift of our children.
