About Me

I am 36 and I am married to a wonderful woman, LeatherandLace62. I relocated to West Virginia last year, with 4 of our children, from California. Combined with the 6 children already living in West Virginia, we have a total of 10 children and 2 grand-daughters. My wife has stood by me through all of the trying moments and I love her with all my heart. GWEN…I LOVE YOU and I thank you for always being there, for loving me, for loving our children. I thank you for who you are and who I am able to be now that I am with you. I thank you for your love and support, your compassion, the security you provide. I thank you for all you have done and continue to do.
Within the last month, our family has been ripped apart. The kids that moved here from California were taken from their schools by police, because their father came to get them. He fought me for custody, as he is a control freak! He, UNFORTUNATELY, won custody in November last year, but told the children he would not come and get them. However, at the end of May, ONE WEEK before the school year was over, he ripped our children from their schools, their lives, their home, their family and took them back to California. He did all of this ONLY because he was COURT ORDERED to or he would be put in jail!
Our children's dreams and plans were crushed when they were taken from us. The children were not able to say goodbye to all of their family here. They had to say goodbye to those of us who could be at the courthouse, in a room at the courthouse. Their clothing (as much as we could get) had to be delivered to the children in garbage bags at the courthouse. We were not allowed to pack them anything but clothing. Katrina, Rebbecca, and Kyle were not able to finish their school year.
Kyle missed his 5th Grade Graduation. He was looking forward to starting junior high and playing on the junior high school baseball team. He did not get to say goodbye to his friends or younger siblings who were in school and saw him escorted out by police.
Rebbecca did not get to go into cheerleading as she had wanted to. She did not get to see her dreams of going to school with her brothers for a year come to light. She was looking forward to fishing and swimming in the creek, practicing for cheerleading, continuing her accomplishments in SOAR at her school. She did not get to say goodbye to her friends or to her older brother who saw her escorted out by police, or to her younger brother and sister.
Katrina did not get to take her final exams. She did not get to say goodbye to her friends, her boyfriend. She did not get to say goodbye to her younger siblings. She will not be able to continue her education in nursing through the high school (not available to high school students) and get her CNA license when she graduates. She will not be able to be on the color guard as she was so looking forward to or be able to volunteer at the hospitals this year.
SO MANY DREAMS SHATTERED IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE!!!!
This has affected our family in so many ways. We all are doing our best to cope with the situation but it is so hard. It makes it harder knowing the things we do about the man who came and took these kids. It makes it harder knowing he is telling them all the time that they are lying and that they need to stop lying about him. It makes it real hard knowing these children cry on a daily basis, yearn for the opportunity to come home, look for ways constantly to come home, and yet, none of us know how to make that happen.
TO OUR CHILDREN …. WE LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH. NEVER FORGET THAT. WE ARE ALWAYS THINKING OF YOU AND WISHING YOU WERE HOME. WE ARE ALWAYS WISHING WE COULD UNDO THE CHAOS THAT HAS OCCURRED AND MAKE IT ALL BETTER. WE LOVE YOU! WE LOVE YOU!
