About Me

"You're either on the bus or off the bus."
One thing is certain: I'll make it to the moon if I have to crawl. My name is Caitlin Ruth, and I prefer harmonies to melodies. I'm pretty chill. I mean, I do have my angry times, but there is nothing I love more than relaxing and listening to some sweet tunes. I often take things to heart, but I swear it's because I am conscientious; I can't help but care. I have a strong aversion to the way hair-dye feels as it's developing. I can always tell when I'm being lied to--and I don't like it, so I try to be honest, myself. It bugs me like nothing else when I hear people talking about a band I've been into for years, like it's the new best thing, or raving about the delicious, worldly food they eat with their worldly friends. I could really school them; I'm just too soft-spoken to do so. I have some problems, but I am learning to get over those. Until then, I belong in the zoo. People who know me know I hate U2. I'm goofy; I love to laugh and poke fun at others, even though sometimes it gets me in trouble. I often let my thoughts get the best of me. Due to this overthinking, I get jealous far too easily. I'm very forgiving. The downside? I never forget--I don't know why, but my memory is fairly impeccable. Typically I find myself hanging out with boys. There is rarely a moment spent without the presence of my favourite person in the world, Chris, and I am so blessed to know him; he has my heart, and engages my mind. Aside from this wonderboy, I love my family, good nonfiction, tiramisu, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Lately I've had somewhat of a creative burst. I am finding myself wanting to churn out stories and songs, poetry and pictures. More and more I am wanting to be in a band. I have many ideas about how I'd like to spend my life. I am interested in the universe and the habits of animals, for instance, and sometimes I wonder what it would be like to go to space, or live in a submarine. But my recurring dream is one in which I am traveling the world in a big orange van, documenting everything, and maybe working for a magazine. And I like it that way.

Heroes:

Christopher Adam Mizell. He is my sunshine. I couldn't imagine life without him. He has made things 110% better than they ever were. I can tell him anything, and rest assured that he will always be in the front seat with me, driving around aimlessly, reminiscing about past decades we haven't even experienced. He's like my own personal Jim Morrison. I love him.

My Blog

shine on me, baby, ’cos it’s raining in my heart.

I never write in my blog. My last post was two years ago. But I think now is the right time to change that. It could be this state I'm in, but who knows. I'm really mad. A lot of stupid shit...
