I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I have a BA in theater, and do some soulless temping and freelancing to pay the rent. Things seem to be going as planned.

To be precise: I'm an actor who does sound design and electrics instead; I'm a bass player constantly trying to start a band but never quite managing to; I'm a reenactor with a low tolerance for polyester and an insatiable love for the smell of black powder; charismatically insecure with a penchant for getting myself in over my head and ignoring the obvious. In the end, I'm a slightly strange, easygoing liberal artist type living in New York City with no concrete plans for the future, except that I'd like to be acting, reenacting, playing bass, and maybe someday running my own bar.The Civil War is my thing, especially authentic/campaign reenacting. Be prepared for discourses, especially when I've been drinking and have stuff to show people. I am maintaining my independence for the time being; in times past I have been in the Liberty Rifles (Co. A), and recently decided to fall in with Pridgeon's Shenandoah Legion more often. Also, Sean and I are starting an informal group of anarchist/punk reenactors that is lacking in name but not in revolutionary spirit.I have an encyclopaedic knowledge of useless quotes from movies and cartoons, which I throw into conversation whenever possible and whenever others would deem it impossible. Especially Aqua Teen Hunger Force.Photography always. deviantART.

My Interests

Music, acting, spaghetti with garlic, playing bass in bands, hookahs, sleeping in, liberal politics, static electricity, cats, Authentic/Campaign Civil War reenacting, ignoring the obvious, writing songs, photography, the little blue light on my hard drive, classy shot glasses, target shooting, bonfires, getting hammered or high with friends and talking about life and philosophy and why Firefly didn't get a second season, fingerless gloves, Richmond Depot jackets, frock coats, cartoons, completely wasting my time.

I'd like to meet:

Writers, thinkers, comedians, ordinary people, Strong Bad, Marilyn Manson, Maynard J. Keenan, and anyone who knows how amazing it is to drive alone on a summer night with your favorite album on and your hand out the window."I dig women who've got more to get off their chest than wet T-shirts." sage francis (it's true!)Terms and conditions may apply.Fer chrissakes, people who understand and use the basics of spelling and grammar. There's something basically wrong with "ur" and "n e wayz" and any of the other linguistic abortions out there.I'm flattered by the number of friend requests I've gotten of late... but please. Send me a message or something. Write a poem. Draw a picture. Actually engage in a conversation. I'm not elitist or anything, and hell, we can all use more casual internet acquaintences. That said, blindly adding people to a friends list is... well, it's bloody stupid, and pointless. Almost as bad as:Anyone posting chain letters along the lines of: "OMG THIS GIRL WAS LEIK KILLED BY A MUDERERMAN REPOST PLZ OR SHE WILL KILL U TOO THIS IS NO JOKE MY FREIND WUZ EATIN BY A LION BC HE DIDNT SND THIS SO MAKE SURE IT DOSNT HAPPEN 2 U 2!!~~11!!!one!" or "guys if u do this ur girl will make teh sexeh with u for 200 years, if u dont u will fall thru a window 2marow LOLZ" will be deemed a Fool forthwith and summarily mocked. Those things grind my gears, as Peter Griffin would say. Like Lindsay Lohan, and those little outfits WHAT DO YOU WANT LINDSAY?I'm serious, I will think you a Fool if you have nothing better to do than sling those stupid things around the internet. It may not matter to you, but I thought I'd just put that out there.
