About Me

By The Throat is a five-piece thrashmetalcore band that was conceived in Colorado Springs, Colorado in early 2005 with a sole foundation of wanting to make music that was a clear break from the monotonous mainstream of today. Coming together for the same purposes were Schylar FYL, Tosis Maguill, Ely Pierce, Korey Blank, and a year down on, Zach Farrell. By The Throat is driven and determined. Thriving on a suffusion of thrash, metal, and hardcore, the band is a force to be reckoned with. Constant progression in musical skill and togetherness ties the band closer day by day and it's easily seen by the fan or common show-goer during a live performance. Since their formation, By The Throat has recorded two demos: the 2005 "Until You're Breathless" and the long anticipated "Cast Aside The Amber of This Moment" (July 2007). The band has also played countless shows along side of local bands such as They Murdered Miracles, In Death We Rise, Grace Gale, The Murder Formula, Kemper, and After The Murder; as well as national acts like Bury Your Dead, The Walls Of Jericho, Forknown, Carnifex, and The Irish Front. Constantly working on writing new music or anything that aids their amelioration, By The Throat is sure to have something new that may grab your attention. Come out to a show, mosh your ass off, have some fun, have a part in it all... Let's see where this one goes.
