However, things didn't work out for this line-up and the members went their separate ways. Romero later formed Lethal Injection- a much heavier outfit influenced by metal and hardcore music. As the band found itself in a scene that featured bands like- Loads of Motherhood, MassCarnage, Tame the Tikbalang, Death After Birth, and Goo- to name a few- Romero met MassCarnage bassist Hendrick Gonzales. As their bands often bumped into each other at gigs- Gonzales would often jam with Lethal Injection on several ocassions. What began as a side-project for Gonzales ended up with a series of gigs- and newly formed band- BADBURN. When Romero and Gonzales started writing material together- the decision was to keep BADBURN as the band's official name. With Cloyd Barcena (guitar) and Yogi Asistores (drums) the band quickly gained a reputation as one of the scene's innovative bands. A couple of line-up changes (in the guitar and drum chair) later, 1999- was the year that the band solidified its line up with guitar player David Abaya. This synergy - completed with the addition of drummer Libyano- created a self titled EP- and later signed to MCA Universal. Bound By Blood was released in September 2001. A fusion of influences ranging from metal, hardcore, jazz, and hiphop- Badburn crafted a sound that is brutally fresh. The demands of their live performances led to crafting more challenging material. Intense speed, body-slamming grooves, abrupt tempo shifts, and chugging time signature changes became the band's bone-crushing sonic trademark. Taking a short break, a few years later, the band began writing new material and recruited former Extreme Response drummer- Joey Valverde to unleash the more diverse- "Darkness Rising" EP- (2005) this time, the band decided to continue without the support of a major label. As the band began promoting the new EP, Sin's Gil Christ Tan was added to the band's current line up to strengthen the band's new musical direction as well as their live performances. Currently stationed in their secret headquarters- the band is busy writing new material for their 2nd full length release. Representing their music 100%- This is BADBURN.

Freedom or Death

Picture this... you are walking in a public place, let's say a mall. Then a group of armed uniformed cocksuckers gang up on you and snatch you from your regular day to make you a prisoner, a detainee,...
