About Me

I Got tired of other fan websites either closing or not posting news so i said Fuck it and decided to make my own site
Durst formed Limp Bizkit in 1994 with Sam Rivers and John Otto. Wes Borland joined soon after, and DJ Lethal, formerly of the Hip-hop group House of Pain, joined the band in 1996 . With Limp Bizkit, Fred Durst became one of the biggest music stars of the late 1990s. Limp Bizkit's first big hit, a cover of George Michael's late '80s hit "Faith," gained great traction thanks to heavy airplay on MTV, especially during the first year of Total Request Live. The band's other major hits include "Nookie", "Break Stuff", "Take a Look Around", "Rollin'" and "My Generation." He has directed most of his band's music videos, as well as videos for Korn's "Falling Away from Me", Deadsy's "The Key to gramercy Park", Cold's "No one", and Staind's "It's Been Awhile" and "Just Go."
Fred Durst's influences include Tool, Primus, Klaus Nomi, KISS, Wu-Tang Clan, Blondie, The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, The Offspring, Cocteau Twins, The Smiths, Ministry, Foo Fighters, Pantera, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones and Suicidal Tendencies. [1] He has cited Maynard James Keenan, Mike Patton, Jonathan Davis, and Ice Cube as main vocal inspirations, though excluding Ice Cube and some of Korn's work, none of the aforementioned bands have any sound similar to Fred Durst or Limp Bizkit. He has also cited that Kurt Cobain had a major influence on him and he has stated several times that music has not been the same since Cobain died. Durst has a tattoo of Cobain on his chest. Durst has also stated that the rock band Tool influenced his sound.
Durst has dabbled in acting with a minor role in the 2005 TV miniseries Revelations, playing the role of Odgen. He also starred in the movie Population 436 with Jeremy Sisto, as police officer Bobby Caine. Durst also chairs his own record label, Flawless Records, a division of Geffen Records. It has signed such bands as Puddle of Mudd, The Revolution Smile, Ringside and She Wants Revenge. In recent years, Durst has also shown a great interest in directing films. He was hired to direct the film Lords of Dogtown, but for some reason turned it down. During an interview he even went as far as saying that he had aspirations to become a director before his musical career. He directed the film The Education of Charlie Banks, which was concluded July 25, 2006.

BRING THAT BEAT BACK

Limp Bizkit's future remains uncertain. There was mention of future Limp Bizkit albums when The Unquestionable Truth was released, including a follow-up, The Unquestionable Truth (Part 2). The band has remained extremely quiet as a whole, making no public appearances. Many of the members are pursuing personal goals. Several of the band's members worked with solo hard rock artist Rob Zombie on his latest release Educated Horses. Wes Borland has spoken a number of times regarding the status of Limp Bizkit, including an interview with MTV in March 2006, where he said that the band were on 'extended hiatus' [15]. In other interviews, he has declared that Limp Bizkit has split and that The Unquestionable Truth, Part 2 will not be released, although he does not rule out the possibility of Limp Bizkit re-uniting. Surprisingly, Durst contradicted Borland's assertions, leading to MySpace comments back-and-forth between the two on the future of the band. Durst has assured press that The Unquestionable Truth Part 2 will be coming out and that the band will tour to support it, but with some songs that do not feature Borland on guitar. He has also claimed it will be a full length release rather than an EP and will be even more experimental and aggressive than the first. Durst also has plans to direct his first motion picture film. Additionally, he claimed to be touring in the northeastern United States, recording sessions (dubbed by Durst as the 'Off The Record' tracks) that didn't make it onto the album.
