A bad guitar player, a worse footballer and an uptight, politically-minded student thing. Sees novels, music and films all as art forms and will never enjoy a Hollywood blockbuster nearly as much as a slow, subtle and gritty offering that actually says something, hopefully not just "The CIA is pretty bad" too.
I can imagine the idealised vision that at some point those with an interest in adding you as a frend might evaluate themselves up against this criteria, which the author of the particuar MySpace page has crafted in order to ensure those with similar interests and aspirations find each other, do a bit of networking and the like. Now it's just your optimistic local bands and your friends from other places.

I don't really watch all that much TV anymore, and between those programmes I do watch there appears to a gulf between the light-hearted satires and comedies ranging from Family Guy, Have I Got News For You, South Park etc. to more grounded and evaluative news and commentary programming such as Newsnight, Panorama and Question Time.
Favourite books are probably: We Need To Talk About Kevin. Adrian Mole series. High Society. On Chesil Beach. Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. Angels and Demons.
