Marcos Davi was born in Porto Alegre, wich is a city in the south of Brazil. Acoustic guitar player and composer, he searches for his own language, in which he uses harmonic and rithmics elements. As a performer, Davi plays contemporary Brazilians composers' songs.His Cd..s “Criação†and “CASA IIIâ€, with CASA III guitar trio, were complimented by artists as Roberto Menescal, Sid Jacobs, Ulisses Rocha, Zezo Ribeiro, besides the musical and ordinary media.Recently, Davi has written a book with his compositions “Composições Para Violão Brasileiro†(Compositions to Brazilian Guitar), by Editora Som.He mixes the technique of classical guitar with Brazilian popular music like Choro, Baião and Bossa Nova.His career has taken him to several parts of Brazil and also Switzerland, Germany, Spain and Austria, playing solo or beside other musicians.In 2004/2005 his musical work was selected by Itaú Cultural - Rumos Musicais, one of the most important cultural institution in Brazil.
