Born and raised in North Carolina, Jody got his first start singing Eagles songs in front of his third grade class. He parlayed his love for the spotlight into a modeling and acting career that spanned nearly ten years, appearing in ads for such designers as Armani, Levi’s, Wrangler and J Crew. He also starred in music videos for country music stars Leann Rimes and Jamie ONeal.
A few years later, Jody found himself living in a band rehearsal room in Los Angeles and writing songs about his roller coaster ride of life experiences. Lyrics like “I’ve got a suit case full of life and a gun shy heart that’s slow to heal”, live with you long after the band have left the stage.
The Jody Lee Petty Band has relocated back to the east coast and has opened for such acts as Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean, Charlie Daniels Band, Marshall Tucker Band and many more. Their high-powered, high energy, southern fried brand of country music is winning fans the world over.
