A little Madness in the Spring / Is wholesome even for the King -Emily Dickinson

About Me

who could call my name without regretting who could see beyond this my darkness and for once save their own prayers who could mirror down just a little of their sunhow could this go so very wrong that I must depend on darkness would anyone follow me further down how could this go so very far that I need someone to say what is wrong not with the world but mewho could call my name without regretting who could promise to never destroy me tonight my head is full of wishes and everything I drink is full of her
You're Odin! The Allfather, the wise. You gave up
your eye in the pursuit of wisdom and hung for
days from the world tree to attain even more.
You feel that if you can just gain all the
wisdom in the world you will be able to prevent
Ragnarok.

My Interests

Of all things in the world Music is first. Then there is time for movies, books, sleeping, hiking, existential thoughts, reading, travel, New York City!, Colorado, Ohio (screw off, I like it here), all things Viking, Scandinavia, mountains, fjords, photography, life, the Universe, and everything.

I'd like to meet:

The entire pantheon of Norse Gods.

Music:

I dig all types of music, but I ain't gonna lie, I'm a metalhead through and through. I love classical, blues, jazz, folk, select country, some pop here and there... but for my money, nothing else reflects my world remotely close to the sheer majesty of metal. So... put that in yer pipe an' smoke it!

Movies:

I love me some horror movies! That said, I'm a sap for period pieces (Amadeus, Rob Roy), foreign (Amalie, Run Lola Run), Fantasy (Dark Crystal, Labyrinth), classics (Casablanca, African Queen), good comedy (Harold & Kumar, the old Pink Panther movies), drama (Sling Blade, Fisher King).

Television:

I don't watch much TV. M*A*S*H was pretty good. So were Cheers and Star Trek. I've come to enjoy (thru the miracle of DVD) Arrested Development, Firefly, Lost, Family Guy, and Sex and the City... these are all pretty good, too. Documentaries about the mating habits of vikings and other such random stuff, as seen on public broadcast, are always pretty enjoyable. Oh, and baseball.

Books:

The Hobbit; Lord of the Rings; Angela's Ashes; Stuart Little, anything by Stephen King or C.S. Lewis; The Prophet; The Wind in the Willows; The Marriage of Heaven and Hell; most anything sci-fi/horror/fantasy.
