I am who you perceive me to be. My blue jeans are worn and have holes. That gaping wound in the knee is where you placed your foothold when you kicked me out of your life. My jacket keeps me warm because I no longer hold warmth in my heart for you. My nail polish is chipping. My hair is no longer in its braids. My shirt of vibrant colors shows the fun that I continue to have, although it is not the same. I house four rings on my fingers. The first is to remember my past, the good, the bad, remember but don't regret. The next holds my joys. The next is to a journey we all must take. The last represents love as it balltes constantly with lust. The bracelte on my wrist reminds me that the world is beautiful. My necklace holds my values close to my heart. My showes thin and warn, allowing me to feel the ground beneath me but still allowing me to stand strong. My clothes are me.
