My Interests

Taking my son Liam and the dogs for long walks, Reading, Listening to Liam starting/learning to read..very exciting to a mother's ears!! Playing the congas and/or tambourine (is that how it's spelt?) really loudly. Also been known to play the triangle on the odd occasion....Pool/Snooker, Golf, Tennis. Relaxing to music. Seeing movies on the big screen, whilst eating hot buttery popcorn - MY IDEA OF HEAVEN!! Going to the gym and getting my feet all tangled up in aerobics classes - that's always fun and entertaining. Surfing the net, Backgammon, Canasta, Driving country roads. Most of all, I love going to see live theatre..dramas, comedies, musicals - absolutely anything. Actors/singers always amaze me by how they can remember all the words and make everything so believable...a rare talent

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who clicks with me... It's weird, but you can usually tell within a few minutes if you're comfortable with a person or not. It's a great feeling when you can connect with someone and feel like you've been friends for years.. I'd love to meet "French and Saunders" my two favourite comediennes. But I'd probably freak out and die - as you would....Those two girls are the best at what they do! I'm collecting their comedy sketches on 'my favourite videos' if you want to take a few minutes and have a laugh.

Music:

ROGUE TRADERS, SNOW PATROL, THE INDIGO GIRLS, TOMMY EMMANUEL - The best guitarist in the world. Anyone who can sing in tune with "heart and soul" while strumming an acoustic guitar gets my vote every time. EVA CASSIDY, AMY COOK, MELISSA ETHERIDGE, JEWEL, SOPHIE B....are just some of my many favourites

Movies:

PRIDE & PREJUDICE, GIRL INTERRUPTED, OVERBOARD - Goldie, the macaroni necklace..I've got one just like it! RANDOM HARVEST - a 1940's tear jerker, starring Greer Garson, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, STRICTLY BALLROOM, MURIELS WEDDING, HARRY POTTER movies,***************** There's a new Australian croc thriller called BLACK WATER - You've got to go and see it because my cousin scored the part of the male lead....WAY TO GO, ANDY!!!!! blackwatermovie.com *********************

Television:

MCLEOD'S DAUGHTERS Aussie drama - about women working on a country property, ALL SAINTS Aussie hospital drama, THE BIGGEST LOSER watching it always makes me determined to keep going to the gym

Books:

I like autobiographies - not just celebs, anyone who has made a mark on this world.... I love reading, but unfortunately as soon as I walk thru the doors of my library, I forget all the authors I like, so I usually pick out books that catch my eye. Somehow it always seems to work out...I've read some terrific books this way. I love anything written by Kathy Lette - she cracks me up everytime I read her novels - Especially her "How To Kill Your Husband (and Other Handy Household Hints)"

Heroes:

MEM FOX - A children's author who inspires everyone to read to their kids every day - it really does make a difference. BELINDA EMMETT - Australian actress/singer diagnosed with breast cancer at 24 and sadly, passed away at 32 in 2006...A beautiful person who had grace, courage, determination and dignity. She inspired everyone who knew her. "You put up a hell of a fight" R.I.P. Bel
