"It is Friday evening, near 9 o'clock - wild rainy weather. I am seated in the dining-room alone, having just concluded tidying our desk boxes, writing this document_.." -Emily Jane Brontë, July the 30th, 1841
She wrote poetry of great yearning, often speaking through the characters residing in her dream-world called Gondal. How did a shy and virginal, almost reclusive young woman write the most passionate novel of all time? Well, she will always be a mystery - that's the best part, isn't it? Over the coming months The Goblin Market will explore the brilliance of the elusive Emily and her sisters on their upcoming third album, "Beneath far Gondal's Foreign sky," to be released in 2008. Our title capitalization is from Emily's notebook manuscript.
We have uploaded three tracks for the album, Anne's "A Reminiscence" and Emily's "Remebrance" as well as Jeff's, "Love Song."
