Purrrrrrrr....

About Me

I am the biggest project I ever worked on. Just when I thought I knew it all, I'm still figuring myself out. Not that I'm lost, but there's so much more to me than I thought. I've faced the fact that getting to Point B from Point A is NOTHING close to being a straight line...but that's okay because I LOVE long-distance driving and I'll take the scenic route any day. Forget I-5! Take the 101!

YAY!!! The Bad Idea Bears from Avenue Q. "Well, you can always hang yourself..."

My Interests

Espresso, Gelato, and Freshmint Tic Tacs. BWAH HA HA!The smell of burning copal. Patchouly essence oil is very nice.IMAX films at the Science Center , cartooning, writing, travel, taking tours, historic landmarks, nice theme parks (especially Disneyland and Universal Studios ), city history, music, metaphysics, self-improvement, the paranormal, astronomy, M.A.C., and whatever new things spark my interest.

I'd like to meet:

Someone who'll drive off with me at a moment's notice, has a sense of adventure, makes me laugh, brings out the best in me, treasures silence as much as conversation, teaches me as well as learns from me... Someone who isn't a wuss. A man I can curl up to and cuddle with.My friends say I'm picky. What can I say? I want nothing but the best. A-1. Pick of the litter. I don't want some Joe-shmoe who can't keep up with me.

Music:

Hopelessly lost in the '80s, namely the New Wave era, I love Missing Persons, A Flock of Seagulls, Devo , and pre-popular Simple Minds, Tears For Fears, and Duran Duran.

I also like Chris Botti , the eclectic sounds of KCRW , and Jazz 88.3.

Nightfoxx

Ladytron , CSS, and Shiny Toy Guns.

Alternative Rock, Hard Rock, Classic Rock and a little Metal are good, too.

WARNING: THE MUSIC OF JIMMY BUFFET IS NOT ALLOWED TO PASS THROUGH MY EARS!!! *cringe* KEEP OUT! :(

Movies:

TRANSFORMERS!!!
And I LOVE stupid funny crap like AIRPLANE! Yes!!!

Television:

The History Channel seems to be ranking #1 as of late - Cities of the Underground, Modern Marvels, and The Universe.
Ghost Hunters , Food Network, some Vh-1, The Soup.

Books:

I worship FoxTrot .

I'll read anything having to do with travel, self-improvement, my favorite comic strips, and coffee table stuff like "Horrifically Bad Album Covers."

I find the works of Louise Hay and Doreen Virtue inspiring.

Heroes:

Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Avenue Q's Kate Monster.

Walt Disney, Charles Schulz, Jim Henson, Bill Amend.

Successful husband and wife teams: Doreen Virtue & Steven Farmer, The Polyphonic Spree's Tim DeLaughter & Julie Doyle.

So, I saw Avenue Q again...

To sort of counter that angry blog, I'll write about something that did make me happy recently... Last Saturday, during our psychic faire, one of my colleagues had complimentary tickets to see "Avenue...

Pushed

It was one of those situations where people meant well, but pissed me off more than anything. I know I'm the new girl (and there is also a new guy), and I was graced with the ever-conflicting informat...

If the Earth was a moon...

Hmph.  MySpace doesn't have a category for Science.   C'mon, everyone blogs about science all the time! Last night while doing laundry at mom's (actually, I'm still here), I happened to cat...

A Cube, a Sphere, and a Purpose

I've been meaning to see a movie for how long now?  Several months?  And so, I told God via thought and handwritten journal, "I REALLY want to see Transformers and Harry Potter!"  ...

Sleep Schedule Accomplished!

So...where to begin. My new job whisked me away from a lot of things, it seems.  As of late, I've been online a mere once a week, twice if I'm lucky.  I like my new job, though, and the peop...

Here Seagull, Seagull...

It took over three years to manifest, but I FINALLY saw the episode of VH-1 Bands Reunited where they piece together the original four members of A Flock of Seagulls.  It meant so much ...

New job update and a possible job-drop?

I just finished my third week at the new job.  Third shift is AWESOME!!!  And now that I'm no longer shadowing, time goes by so much faster.  So far, the assignments I've worked on last...

Bulletin Repost: Plane on the 78 freeway

Did anyone else happen to see it today?!  I was eastbound on the 78 passing Oceanside when I saw a wing in the distance.  I thought, "No way!" but as I got closer, there it was...a small pla...
