I read A LOT...some recent books and old favs; The Jungle, The Good Earth, The Grapes of Wrath, Wuthering Heights, The Secrete Life of Bees, Bastard Out of Carolina, Devil in the White City, The Color Purple, House on Mango Street, She's Come Undone, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, I really liked Wicked: the Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister by Gregory Maguire. My favorite books are A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and To Kill A Mockingbird. I think Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn are brilliant. And, I'm read From Here to Eternity right now, but at 800+ pages, it's proving that long to read.
