Born into a musical family, Bobby Calvin Bowers, Jr., also known as BJ Bowers, is in a league all of his own. A single-parent home with his hard-working mother at the helm, created the right environment for BJ Bowers to cultivate and nurture his talent and ability as he prepares to share it with the world. As the second child of six, BJ has had to take on much of the family’s responsibility and although he loves to have fun, his music presents a message geared toward helping and uplifting his audiences as we all make our way through our lives, our loves and our emotions. BJ aka “Yung Beedy†always has paper and pen in hand. His music embodies the term, “R&B Street†because his music is rooted in his upbringing in the “hood†of Newberry, South Carolina. BJ has traveled the country singing in shows with Nappy Roots, Anthony Hamilton, The Anointed Pace Sisters, Coko from SWV, SILK, Mint Condition and numbers of others. His travels have carried him from New York City to Florida & LA all the way to Atlanta, GA – where he resides. He is currently in the studio working on mixtapes and original material waiting for the right opportunity to be heard by the world.
