I've done this before and the list is ridiculous...
Dark Comedies are my favorite (House of Yes, Delicatessen, etc), just saw Ratatouille and loved it, anything by Hayao Miyazaki (My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, etc.), I think Silence of the Lamb and Fargo are perfect films.... and the list could go on.
Flight of the Conchords and Entourage
Blindness, Running with Scissors, Pride and Prejudice, The Adventures of Kavalier and Klay, Devil in a White City, The Cider House Rules, About a Boy, Count of Monte Cristo, Blood Meridian, I also like some graphic novels like Maus, Persepolis, etc.... I could go on and on but I won't.
