Chevis is a self-contained singer, songwriter, track maker and producer. Major influences in his life have been his grandfather, Fats Domino, the legendary Rock'n Roll star. His father, Charles Brimmer, who was a superb R&B singer, released several albums.Chevis was born in Inglewood, California and at age 4 relocated to his parents' hometown, New Orleans, Louisiana where his love for music began. However, by age 13 he developed two passions, music and basketball. He emerged as a standout point guard, but behind the scene he was spending the majority of his time in the studio refining his musical skills.True to both his passions, he attended the University of Colorado on a basketball scholarship and eventually transferred to Xavier University in New Orleans where he earned his B.A. in Political Science. However, ultimately his energies became totally focused in the studio. His artistic project is an innovative blend of R&B, Pop and Hip Hop, with a unique expression of reality-true life experiences. His first album is entitled, "The Misconception".
