Rock Gods Don't Age

About Me

Albums like this don't come along very often. Perhaps we are just too busy searching for answers to see what's dangling from the end of our nose.Back in 1978, The Loudspeakers hung there fleetingly, waiting for the spotlight. Indeed, had you have been one of the many flies on the studio wall back then, well you would be dead now, as flies don't live very long. It's said that if you can remember The Loudspeakers, then you must have been in the band. The band were of course, Ian Gair (keyboards), Chris Thomas (guitar), Brendan Walsh (bass), Ritchie Rae (drums) and Brian Engel (vocals). It was recorded during a period of all night sessions at Regents Park Studios in London and was produced by Steve Lipson. Steve used the album as a springboard to greater things. Vinyl however, was never intended to be used in that way, and the band plunged modestly back into obscurity again.Until now. Now you can regurgitate those tastes and smells once more, proving that what had trouble going around in the first place can come back and haunt you in middle age.
