A unique blend of music and influences, August Rising is composed of many variations of transcending melodies that lead to explosive dynamics. Having been together as a band for the past 2 years, August Rising is: singer-songwriter Jeff Stauning, Patrick Stephens, David Hayes, and Jarod Przewoznik. The group has been working hard self-promoting, recording, and touring to accomplish their goals. August Rising has become a seasoned touring and studio band that is not only polished on CD, but also electrifying on stage! Their music has been played by an extensive catalogue of radio stations and television and news programs alike; most notably, one of Southern California’s largest radio stations, Star 98.7fm, where during an on-air interview, Star 98.7’s morning DJ ‘Valentine’ spoke to the band saying, “I’ve been in the music business now for 15 years, and I can tell you, this song is a hit.†He was speaking of their song “Lay Your Hands on Me†which has become one of the band’s fan favorites. August Rising manages to write music that not only has catchy and easily accessible hooks, but also manages to maintain a very distinctive and original sound. This has shown that their music will be both enjoyed by a large and diverse audience today, but also allowing August Rising to stand the test of time in an ever-changing world of music.
