About Me

Myspace Layouts by Pimp-My-Profile.com

First thing's first. I get antsy if I don't leave the continent at least once a year, and after much talk, I moved to Prague in October 2005. It's great living here.I have a strong personality, and a buddy of mine says that I am lucky since people either love or hate me, and consequently I always know where I stand. I think he's right; I guess I never appreciated that.My interests say it all. I love history. I am looking to have a couple drinks, cook, go to some shows, and discuss everything, especially if it's taboo or controversial, and hopefully do it in some language besides English once in a while. The kids, they used to call me "Tuuch," and Tuuch doesn't want to be friends with your crappy "indie/folk/new wave/progressive" band if I don't know you so save us both some keystrokes.I wish I still played football. I always carry a book of matches. Remember in November.
I was there. It was more bone-jarring in real life. Hats off to Crumpler for holding onto it. Too bad the President of the US doesn't moonlight as a Falcons tight end. Oh, and don't let the fact that I have football stuff in my profile drag down your opinion of me. Everybody has some rediculous obsession, and mine is 1 team in 1 sport. To all potential myspace voters: A friend of mine likes to say, 'If you don't vote, then you don't have the right to complain.' And the way things have been lately, you may not have the right to complain if you don't vote.

You're the United Nations!
Most people think you're ineffective, but you are trying to completely save the world from itself, so there's always going to be a long way to go. You're always the one trying to get friends to talk to each other, enemies to talk to each other, anyone who can to just talk instead of beating each other about the head and torso. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, and you get very schizophrenic as a result. But your heart is in the right place, and sometimes also in New York.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet the people who have looked at my profile 2000 times and never send me a message. American people who dissaprove of (or at least don't condone) writing in the style of "hott guyz who Rn't 2 full of themselvezes 4 u n da hizzouse." Ugh. People I've lost track of. Also,I'd like to make friends with more Czechs, Slovaks, Argentines, Columbians, Italians, Ethiopians and others not from the US.

Music:

Generally: Punk rock, Blues, Rockabilly/Psychobilly, Motown, Goomba, Real Jazz, some Idustrial/Goth, 80's, Opera, Tango Argentino. Motorhead has officially become my favorite band of all time. Right now: Vivaldi, Swingin Utters, Dexter Carter, Kabat.

Movies:

Goodfellas, Obsluhoval Jsem Anglického Krále, Motorcycle Diaries, Requiem for a Dream, Mafia, any Scorcese, Suicide Kings, Brainscan, Quo Vadis, Casino, Ocean's 11, 1-hour Photo, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Dr. Zhivago, Trilogies.

Television:

Fuck television. Only waste my life with the Sopranos, King of the Hill, Family Guy, and the NFL. My So-Called Life was the best series ever made for network television and to this day it baffles me how it didn't have tremendous success.

Books:

Bukowski, Publius Virgilius Maro, Tolken, Orwell, Dante Alighieri, Dennis Mack Smith, Mussolini (the memoirs are riveting), Hašek, Kavka.

Heroes:

Julius Caesar, Napoleon, Ernesto "Che" Guverra de la Serna, Perón, Salvador Allende, Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, Masaryk, Štefanik. Throw Mom and Dad on there too.
