Vocalist and piano playing songstress, Nina Lynne Ackerly, brought together three talented established musicians. Pete Powers, from Darling and Human Vice Patrol, lends his heavy hand to create intricate almost wordly percussion. Conor Andrews, known for his solo act Satyr, Wandering Dark and Deep, Andrews adds ambient experimental guitar adding the mystery to the music. Andrews, apart of the Ghostdance, brought in bassist Donny Pierro, also a singer/songwriter, switching from folk guitar to the thick sexiness of the bass.
Tabula.Rasa blends jazz, classic pop, and rock to create a unique sweet and sexy sound with a vintage style. Ackerly's jazz voice background and love for doo-wop inspired her to write from an old school staindpoint. Ackerly's vocal patterns are angelic and soothing with a trip hop bite.
The group collectively are the heart and soul of what is tabula.rasa.
