Hi, my name is Tricia. I currently live in Seaside, CA in a bedroom on the second floor. I just bought a car, my frist ever, in cash so I don't have to worry about payments. She's a gray 2004 New Beetle. I love her/it, because I promised myself at 23 I'd buy myself a new car. No more tape holding my trunk together!
A nicer car makes the weekend tips to visit my boyfriend, Ryan, in Santa Cruz much easier. However, soon we'll have to drive even further because he's going to get his MBA on a campus in the Palo Alto area... so, I'll probably move to be closer to him and not waste so much gas every weekend. I'm amping up for yet another move in the near future.
As for the summer, Ryan and his family have invited me to Cabo San Lucas on August 2nd for an entire week! So excited for that!
When I get back from vacation, I'll work for a few weeks and get ready for surgery at UCSF Mt.Zion Hospital. I'll be having a complete thyroid removal (both lobes) done by one of the best thyroid surgeons in the world on August 25th to remove my abnormal thyroid (Hashimoto's autoimmune thyroid disease) and possible cancerous cells (biopsy inconclusive.)
Unfortunately, August 25th also happens to be the first day of class so I'll be missing the first few days of the semester until I'm able to attend. I'm a little scared but everything is going to be okay and stay tuned, as always, for updates.
I thank my friends and family for being there for me, they best they know how, through these times. Thank you all individually for everything you do. It may not seem like it but I couldn't get through all of this without knowing I have such good friends... even though most of you are miles away. :-(
