It would be silly to start from so far back as birth, ok since you asked. I was born in Kettering, England on December 23rd 1987 and migrated to London after a few days where me and my mum, dad and younger sister (by 15 months) Rose lived quite happily in the Islington Denman estate for 7 years. My dad who was always on tour had visited Los Angeles, California many many times over the years and on a whim decided to move the whole family there for what was "Only 3 years darling, then I promise we will move back to London!" yeahhhhh right.
We moved there with out a house or anywhere to stay so we moved into the Mondrian Hotel on Sunset Blvd. and lived there for the first few months until my mum and dad found a house they liked. Luckily my mum found her dream home (literally, she actually dreamed about this house!) and we before we could say "Han whaaaat!?" we were settled in Hancock park. What happens in Hancock park stays in Hancock park. Or is that somewhere else.....
My sister and I attended The Hollywood School house (it was called hollywood little red school house back when I went there) for the first half of our lives in LA (we later moved to Hastings, England but it only last one year) and I can still to this day say those were really the happiest times of my life so far. It's really an amazing school, send your kids there, NOW! It was round about the age of 13 (I had just moved back to LA after our disasterous year in Hastings) when my best friend Mike Valentine and I decided we wanted to start a band...
With nothing but a bass and a synth. in my parents basement we created what could only be described as "Disco sex music" with all of the chorus's filled with different sex sounds such as "Uuuh yeah" and "HUH!". We we known back then as "West Si-eed". We only ever created one full song and it was about getting sick and not being able to go to school. It wasn't until me, Mike and a friend of ours Jack Berglund went to a Sum 41 show that we figured out what we were doing wrong. It was that same night that Orange were officially formed. January 23rd 2002.
Ok ,so by now unless your an Orange fan you must be thinking "Why the fuck would anyone write an autobiography on myspace, he's so not getting laid." so to quicken things up here's a list of what I've accomplished with Orange so far, in a nut shell:
1. Got signed to Hellcat Records when we were 16 years old after Tim Armstrong was given a demo we made.
2. Released our first full length August 23rd called "Welcome to the world of Orange"
3. Toured with punk legends such as The Misfits, The Adicts, UK subs, US bombs, Guttermouth, Rancid, Cadalac tramps, Nekromantix, Sham 69, and many many more.
4. "Best album Hellcat ever put out." -Fat Mike, NOFX
5. Featured on many TV shows and videos games. Got paid. Got laid. HA!
6. Seen all of America by the time I was 19.
7. Did a featured monthly article for Rolling stone in Japan for 2 and a half years.
8. Released "Escape from LA" September 2007
9. Played on KROQ and Indie 103.1 countless times
10. Our single "What I'm looking for" was the fifth most added song to radio during summer of '07.
There's a lot more but I think thats good enough! Some may think I'm tooting my own horn but really I'm just being honest and letting you in on my life so far. If you wanna know more message me, get to know me, you'll love me! I know you will haha.
