***MAY 29TH 2007***
hey everyone,
I don't exactly know how the start this. Some of you may have known this was coming, some may not, some may not care. but nonetheless, after a good 2 years, that felt like 4, LGB is coming to a close.
Some of you may be wondering why? Honestly, LGB has run its course and for the first time I can not hang on anymore. I've been "making it work" for so long now that I just need a fresh start, a fresh breath of air. But all is not lost. In 2 years, LGB has a lot to be proud of. first off we wrote some pretty awesome songs. we were also lucky enough to play a bunch of shows and meet a ton of great bands. we put out a record that looks and sounds amazing. it is def something we're all proud of. and last but certainly not least we were able to meet ALL OF YOU...whether you believed it or not, LGB would be nothing without its fans...but honestly YOUR ALL MORE THAN THAT...your our friends.
So what lies ahead? well at the moment we have 6 shows lined up and through hell or high water...I'm going to play them. they may end up acoustic shows but either way, I will finish LGB out right. I can only hope to see your faces at these last shows...because I wouldn't wanna share the last moments of LGB with anyone else. At the moment we are playing long island NY on may 25th, greenwood De on may 26th, Lewisburg Pa on June 16th, Montrose Pa on June 19th, Philly pa on July 6th and august 17th. I would like to play one more final show in Philly, as well as one in Jersey. Soooo if anyone has any contacts or really wants to see us, drop us a line on our myspace or at [email protected]. TO EVERYONE WHO'S NOT IN THE TRI-STATE AREA...my only regret was not being able to come to your town and play for you...if you'd like a copy of our record let us know...and I promise...one way or another, I WILL MAKE IT TO YOUR TOWN! SO KEEP IN TOUCH!
LASTLY, are the thank you's...first and foremost I'd like to thank Doug who started LGB with me. Next I'd like to thank Jro and Jamie for being there to pick up the pieces. I'd also like to thank Dave for giving a new burst of life at the end of the road of LGB, and lastly I'd like to thank tom, for always being there when both myself and the band needed him...and of course Connor...for being both my friend and partner in crime...I'll never forget or replace the songs we wrote and what we've been through.
I also cant forget to thank all the promoters, all over the place who gave LGB a chance and let us play your stages. I can only hope we did a good job. another big thanks to anyone who posted a blog, or made a flyer, or bought a shirt or cd, or always came to a show, and sang the words, or always dropped us a message or IM, etc...through all of the UPS AND DOWNS OF THE PAST 2 YEARS...YOU MADE THIS ALL WORTH IT!
well before I start writing a novel, somehow saying thanks doesn't quite get the point across. I hope you remember LGB and I sincerely hope you'll stay in touch...because I'M NOT DONE...NOT BY A LONG SHOT! so until then, take care of yourselves...because I'm gonna need you, if I'm going to keep on singing my song...
Love,
Frankie-LGB
