Asambai is a consummate collaborator who has spent the past decade earning the loyalty and support of some of the world's leading musicians, deejays and producers.
96 – 2004 Asambai lived and worked in the music capital Ibiza, where he was event promoter and resident artiste in the internationally renowned hotspots: Pacha, (Zenith) Privilege(Manumission), Space and Amnesia.... He has worked with Carl Cox, Sasha, Deep Dish, Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Steve Lawler, Fatboy Slim and Adam F.
Asambai toured extensively ,tour dates took him all over the world to Argentina, Japan, Switzerland, Russia ,Lithuania ,China and several European and US tours.
2004 - 2007 Asambai was based in the melting pot of Madrid, Spain where he was founder member and Artistic Director of an international percussion foundation. During this time he directed several corporate campaigns including Porsche and Heineken. Asambai also participated in numerous world tours and prestigious international festival events including Boom festival (Sacred Fire), Womex and the Echternach International.
Asambai comes from a rich musical background that gives him a unique approach & rare groove feel . As artiste his flexibility & knowledge of current and ethno music has allowed him to move beyond any distinctive style.
As a producer he as developed many successfull and groundbreaking performance projects through his intuitive direction and collaborations.
Asambai loves what he does so allows time to work with social outreach projects.He has developed and hosted 'DrumzRus' ,'Global Village and The Fantastic Plastic Orchestra these are recycled percussion workshops and seminars for children .The children are introduces to ecological awareness learning how to care for the environment while playing music and having fun. Asambai also host adult drum workshops and corporate team building seminars.
