Ghetto Swing Production's journey began way back in the early part of the 70's when brothers Mike Howard and Chris Ejay performed whilst at junior school, in different bands and different genres of music, ranging from hard heavy metal to soul and R&B. 'we had some strange band names back then:, top 4, top 5, zephyr, the newcomers, five fingered widow etc etc and having failed our 'New Faces' audition back in 1975 due to the drummer forgetting the bass drum pedal, we all took that on board as part of the musical learning process, which did not deter us by no means least. Still, as part of the musical knowledge we were learning day by day, spent a few years abroad DJ'ing in clubs and collecting music. came back to the UK in 1984 and formed a 9 piece band called 'Panache'. The music was a cross between Santana & EWF. did well, had a lot of gigs in the croydon area but nothing evolved from this. Mike Howard went back into DJ'ing till the the early 1990's. Having Missed the creation in music we decided to form a production company in 1994, with a studio to boot and named it ghetto swing productions, have had numerous successes with Robbie Vincent (radio1) and doctor Bob Jones (radio london /Kiss FM) and we are still on a journey...
