HIP HOP AGAINST GENOCIDE
THE SITUATION:
In early 2003, war broke out in Darfur, Sudan.
The Janjawid militias, funded by the government of Sudan, have since murderd nearly a half million Darfurians. They destroyed their crops and poisoned their water. They have raped, pillaged, ravaged, and burned. Words cannot describe it.
Now, they are preventing life-saving medicine and food from reaching civilians.
There is only one solution: to stop trading with Sudan. This would force Sudan to stop the killing for the sake of their economy. This is something we can easily do; and yet, our governments are lagging with their actions.
SOON, IT WILL BE TOO LATE. We must act now. People of any country, any skin, any creed: we must lobby our governments, bug the FUCK out of our officials, until we see ACTION.
Soon it will be too late. 400,000 are already dead; 2,000,000 are without homes. If this isn't our problem, I don't know what is. WE MUST ACT NOW.
