Tim McGowan shows off the potential of his dynamic vocal range on the eleven tracks of the band’s debut CD, “No Way Out,†He also brings a unique style of keyboard prowess to the mix, reminiscent of classic players the likes of Jon Lord and Brian Eno & more recently, Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater. With that said, he still has his own style and at times you would swear he was a guitarist. In fact, he also plays guitar on several tracks & his combined keyboard/guitar style is influenced by Vai, Satriani, & Malmsteen. If these guitarists were dedicated keyboardists, it’s a very good chance they would be Tim McGowan.
Kevin Schertell is one of Jacksonville Florida's best kept secrets. He has a distinctive guitar style & sound that meshes well with the help of his musical influences that range from King’s X, The Beatles, Dream Theater, Pain of Salvation, Marillion, Evergrey, Opeth, & Collective Soul. Kevin has many years of experience in the industry & is a respected player in rock & metal music circles. Kev & Tim have performed live side by side on stage over the last several years on various projects, but have found a home with BiD.
Collectively Burning in December have a contemporary sound with truly memorable, catchy hooks and sound which is already creating a buzz, and radio stations across the globe are adding tracks from the debut CD "No Way Out" to their playlist.
