I Took an interest in music at the age of 6. My Grandfather* sat around playing Johnny Cash and Hank SR. tunes while my Grandmother* and mother* sang along. My Grandfather* taught me how to keep time and play gutiar.
My mother* bought my first set of drums at the age of 10. A pretty silver sparkle Lido set. About 5 years later she upgraded my equipment and took me to try out for a country band in Ardmore, Tn. I remember being terrified. That drummer was a monster!! I managed to land the gig with Stanley Preston and The Shamrocks. I was 16. I played that gig for about a year. She landed me a second gig on the Moody Knight Show at Traylor Island in Huntsville,Al.
From there I'v played with several local bands through out the years. The Pressure with the fabulous Carla Russell*, Strange Brew with Tony Walker, the one and only Mike Byrom, Doc and the pain killers with the late great Keith Beal*, The Undertakers with Bill Hicocks, Ultra with Trevor Tanner, The Rock Fossils with Danny Hall. Blues Junkie with Shane White, The Shaker Band with Nikkie Taylor and in and out of other local bands.
I'm currently drummin' for Hot Rod Otis* with Bill Stephens, Moose Addcock and loving every minute of it! I'm very thankful for any musical project that comes my way!
