My friend's 5 month old baby was born with a portion of his small intestines on the outside of his body. Because of this, he was kept in the hospital for months after he was born, having multiple surgeries, which in turn left him with only 30% of his small intestines. My friend and his girl were just recently able to take their newly born son home. Although they had him home, they have to travel out of town often (Odessa, Texas to Lubbock, Texas) to a hospital that can better handle keeping the baby well. My friend and his girl just found that their son is going to have a major surgery. The hospital is in Omaha, Nebraska. Just today my friend and some co-workers set up a "benefit garage sale" here in Odessa to help raise money for travel/hospital expenses.
My friend has never asked or begged before and this is no different.
He is a great friend, a hard worker, and a overall good guy, so I decided I would do what I can to help. I am setting up a webpage and a donation link for anyone kind enough to donate. Anything at all would be greatly appreciated. My friend didn't know I was going to do this. I just called him and asked if it would be okay.
