Born in Louisville, KY, raised in Franklin, IN, and molded in Indianapolis, IN. Born to country music, raised in the 80's, and molded from hip-hop, DJ Megatone is known to blend and mix a wide variety of musical influences. "I try not to hear genres". This philosophy helps Megatone to create his unique and eclectic style.From the first time he layed his hands on a turntable when he was 16, on his friends 2 Sony record players and Radio Shack 2 channel mixer, Megatone was intrigued with the art of blending and scratching. Scratching the hook from Trick Daddys classic "Shut Up" over Dr. Dre's "Next Episode" day after day helped develop Megatones scratching abilities. Soon Mega would come to owning his own equipment and perfecting his craft in his mom's basement in Franklin. Later he would move to Downtown Indianapolis and score his first gig at the very chic and very popular Subterra Lounge, also scoring smaller gigs around town at The Front Page and doing private parties.DJ Megatone is currently working on making his name well known in the Mid-West as well as broadening his horizons and trekking out of his area to become a classic party rocker for mainstream night-lifers.
