Long Tall Shorty are a British Mod/Rhythm and Blues Band. They were formed in 1978 as part of the Mod Revival movement, split up in 1982 and reformed in 2000. They have released several albums including, “Completely Perfect†on Detour Records and “A Bird in the Hand†on Acid Jazz and “Women and Trouble†on Biff Bang Pow.
Throughout their existence, Long Tall Shorty have always believed in working tirelessly to improve and develop their sound. Having formed at the end of the
Punk era, their sound was an amalgam of 60’s Beat and Punk Rock.
Influences range from the Clash to Muddy Waters, the Yardbirds to Primal Scream, from Spinal Tap to Blow Up via Saturday Night, Sunday Morning.
